Healthy Hummus and Chips

Get the best of everything with this simple and healthy recipe! Both Dairy / Gluten Free, Vegan, and a better for you snack with added benefits of a high quality olive oil!

For the easy Hummus: (without Tahini)

  • 1 can of chickpeas/garbanzo beans

  • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil (I use Tarpon Springs Tuscan Herb)

  • 2 Tbsp water

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • Spices to add:

  • ¼ tsp Garlic powder

  • ½ tsp Mediterranean or Italian Seasoning

  • A pinch of Cumin

  • ¼ Himalayan or Sea Salt

Place all ingredients into a food processor or Nutri-bullet to puree together. Process until smooth and creamy. Spoon out hummus with spatula into glass bowl with lid and place in refrigerator if not eating right away. Can garnish with a little olive oil and seasonings on top.

For the Chips:

  • 6+ Small Corn tortillas

  • Olive Oil

  • Mediterranean or Italian Seasoning

  • Himalayan or Sea Salt

Use a cookie sheet and aluminum foil on top. Place 6 tortillas onto the sheet. If you have more than one cookie sheet you can do another 6 small tortillas on another one as well. Pour a few drops of olive oil onto each tortilla and cover. Can use a brush or spoon to spread on. After doing that to all the tortillas, sprinkle seasonings and salt on. If you like extra salty, add more! Place in oven at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Let cool then break each tortilla into 5-6 pieces for dipping.

That’s it! A quick, easy snack that won't leave you spending too much time or money!
